LEGOLAND Florida Resort is looking for a LEGOLAND Florida Resort College Internship to join the LEGOLAND Florida Resort Team.
About the Roles:
Works in ticket sales, tollbooths, turnstiles, and parking lot to ensure a great first and last impression for our guests. The primary duties of this position are selling parking and gate tickets, distributing park maps and show times, directing auto traffic, and ensuring a smooth entry for our guests at the turnstiles. Also maintains accuracy of cash drawers.
Operates rides, oversees play areas, performs cleaning duties, maintains organization of designated areas and maintains LEGOLAND Florida’s highest standards of safety, guest service and cleanliness. Communicates the LEGO values of creativity, discovery, exuberance, and innovation to groups and regular park guests and facilitates the unstructured guest experience by encouraging, interacting, and demonstrating.
Operates rides at the maximum capacity while making sure to do it in the safest way possible.
Follows departmental, safety and chemical-handling procedures at all times. Reports any problems, faults, or safety issues to the supervisory team.
Oversees the operations and safety for all play areas in their designated area.
The Model Citizen must be able to tolerate working at a height of approximately 50 feet above ground level and able to safely maneuverer through narrow stairs/walkways at a minimal width of 2.5 feet to access elevated ride track areas. Must also be able to follow attractions ride procedures & restrictions.
Entertainment Usher is responsible for helping LEGOLAND Florida Resort Guests find their seats, disseminate information about the show and the resort, distribute special effects glasses as necessary, and participate with the show to encourage audience participation (with an awareness in guiding participation in line with the flow of the show, and away from potential disruptions to the flow of the show and/or the performers).. The role has high visibility within the venues, functioning as a greeter, support for the show, and assisting Guests as necessary. Reports to the team leaders and area leaders in the day-to-day operations of the venue and in maintaining the high standards of the resort experience.
Food & Beverage
Offers friendly and efficient service to all guests. Responsible for processing guests’ orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Follows the LEGOLAND Florida Resort safety, sanitations, and cleanliness standards and policies, as well as relative legislation.Provide guests with outstanding service going above and beyond in all aspects of the job role in line with LEGOLAND and Merlin Standards
Process Food & Beverage orders in an efficient and timely manner.
Deliver the best quality of food to each and every guest.
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene expectations, policies, and legislation.
Maintains cleanliness standards for all areas of the restaurants. Assist servers and bartenders in clearing and cleaning tables, floors and all other areas of the restaurants. Assists in the setup and clear down of the front of house restaurant operation. Follows all LEGOLAND Florida safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards and polices. May work in multiple outlets and with Special Events as well
Responsible for the operation of assigned retail locations. Performs a variety of duties related to display and sale of merchandise items including preparing inventory for sale, processing sales, maintaining retail locations, and ensuring positive guest service to park visitors.
Education: Must currently enrolled in college/university.
